About Fumiya Nagamine

Ever since I was little, drawing and creating things has been a part of my daily life. In high school, I enrolled in an art major and immersed myself in drawing. Although I was unable to attend university due to financial reasons, I continued to draw as a hobby and worked on graphic and web design as part of my job. I have never been away from making things since I can remember. Additionally, photography, which I started under the influence of my parents in junior high school, has remained a hobby in my life for over 28 years.

Many of my works are born out of the feeling of something being 'precious'. This includes not only beautiful things but also, at times, suffering and the difficulty of living. The stillness of the night, the breeze on a sunny day, daily anxieties, someone's determination, encounters during a walk, unattainable sorrows... Various things that have occurred within me or that I have observed, inspire the creation of my works. If the texture of the world that I have felt can be conveyed even a little to those who see it, I would be happy.

About OOZY COZY

'OOZY COZY' is an art project that encompasses all of Fumiya Nagamine's works, including photography, paintings, and designs, which started with my making pouring art. The project name stems not only from the meaning of words but also from their phonetic appeal and appearance. Instead of seeking eccentricity or intense impact, this project aims to pursue a universal sense of comfort through composition, color, and other artistic elements.
